When we built the guest cottage, the original plans called for a cabinet above the toilet. I thought that having a dark bath with no natural light would compromise a guest’s spirits, so instead found this 18th century stained glass window from an English cottage and had it installed in the cottage bath.
Now, the bath is filled with the most glorious light every afternoon and evening as the sun sets, and in the morning, there’s still natural light to compensate for a tiny bit of lost storage–which I made up for by installing a wonderful towel shelf and rack from Restoration Hardware. I love this bath and think you will, too.
