Eagle Tree

For five or six years, every spring a couple of large, gorgeous golden eagles came and nested in this tree. Even after half the tree cracked apart during one of Oklahoma’s ferocious ice storms, the eagles returned. Then, one year, we didn’t see them again. We still wait hopefully every spring, wishing they would return.
