Watering Tank

This old watering tank has the date “1927” carved in its concrete wall. It was made from the mold for a small silo, but cut short to serve as a watering trough for livestock. There were abundant goldfish in the trough when we bought the property, and the goldfish alive in the tank today are descendants of goldfish who have been living here for decades. We have had goldfish as large as 8-10″ long at some points.
